The Solomon Islands Water Authority, trading as Solomon Water (SW) has received financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and World Bank (WB) toward the cost of the Sewer Works – Ranadi Road to Goodwood Outfall project.

SW invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the construction and completion of the Sewer Works – Ranadi Road to Goodwood Outfall project. The works include the construction, installation, testing and commissioning of sewer pipelines, pump station, outfall and associated works ("the Works").

Open competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: One Envelope procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible countries as described in the Bidding Document. 

Only eligible Bidders with the following key qualifications should participate in this bidding:

Participation as a contractor, Joint Venture partner, or Subcontractor, in at least one contract that has been satisfactorily and substantially completed within the last 8 (eight) years and that is similar to the proposed works, where the value of the Bidder’s participation exceeds USD 3,600,000 (three million six hundred thousand).

The similarity of the Bidder’s participation shall be based on:

  1. Laying at least 1.5 km of gravity wastewater pipelines.
  2. Construction and commissioning of a wastewater pumping station of capacity at least 50 litres/sec.

 For the above or other contracts executed during the period stipulated in 2.4.1, a minimum construction experience in the following key activities: 

  1. Construction of gravity pipelines on flat or minimal grade (by the Bidder).
  2. Pumping station mechanical and electrical (M&E) monitoring and control equipment installation and commissioning (by the Bidder or its proposed Specialist Subcontractor)

Solomon Water (SW) invites sealed or electronic submission tenders from eligible Contractors to meet the requirements of this Tender. The Works shall be procured using the Procurement Procedures specified in the Solomon Water Procurement and Contract Management Manual.

Tenders are welcome from Solomon Islands based Contractors, and cannot be in currencies other than the Solomon Islands Dollars (SBD).

The Works include but are not limited to:

  • Removal of existing fence, concrete posts and vegetation clearance and carry out required civil works, benching and trenching.
  • Construction of podium, access road and concrete driveway at proposed Borehole 3 site.
  • Construction of new fence and gates at BH3 and BH4.

 A Pre-Tender information session will be held on site on Friday 17 June 2022 at 10am for interested Tenderers.

The Solomon Islands Water Authority (SIWA) (“the Employer”) now invites sealed bids from eligible tenderers for the Honiara Water Tank Replacement and Liner Installation Project works.  Bids are welcome from Solomon Islands and internationally based tenderers and can be in currencies other than Solomon Islands Dollars.

The works include but are not limited to:

  • Construction of reinforced concrete base, associated pipework at the Lengakiki Tank site including the installation of three electromagnetic flow meters
  • Construction of a new 1ML Steel Water Supply Liner Tank at Lengakiki
  • Supply and installation of new tank liners to two 600m3 tanks at White River; and
  • Supply and installation of new tank liners to two 450m3 tanks at Lower West Kola Ridge.

Solomon Water (SW) now invites tenders from eligible contractors to meet the requirements of this Tender. The Works shall be procured using the Procurement Procedures specified in the SW Procurement and Contract Management Manual.

Tenders are welcome from Solomon Islands and internationally based Contractors. The currency of tender and payment is Solomon Islands Dollars (SBD).

The Works include, but are not limited to, the construction of sewer works along the Kukum Highway from the Ministry of Fisheries to the Telekom Ranadi Roundabout.

This contract will include the installation of approximately:

  • 181m of DN400mm HDPE pipe (Gravity pipe along Kukum Highway)
  • 543m of DN500mm HDPE pipe (Force main along Kukum Highway)
  • 1,183m of DN700mm HDPE pipe (Gravity along Kukum Highway)
  • 127m of DN200 PVC pipes for interconnection with existing sewer lines at 5 selected points
  • and the construction of the associated 15 manholes (including 5 additional MH) in the depth ranges 2 to 5m.

Tender documents will be available electronically on Solomon Water’s TenderLink site.

A Pre-tender information session will be held on Wednesday 4 May 2022 at 10am for interested tenderers at the Solomon Water Office, BJS Building, Point Cruz, Honiara via a videoconference on the Zoom platform. Attendance in person is restricted and will be virtually only.

A video link to the meeting will be made available in TenderLink seven (7) days before the event. Tenderers will be advised through the TenderLink portal of the video link to access and join the meeting. Attendance is not mandatory but recommended. Tenderers shall submit any questions in writing.

A site visit will be conducted by the Employer on Thursday 5 May 2022 leaving from BJS office of Solomon Water at 10am. Attendance is not mandatory but recommended.

For tender submission purposes:

Tenderers shall submit their tenders electronically. Hand delivered tenders will not be accepted.

The electronic tender submission procedures shall be as follows:

  1. Tenderers should be registered with the TenderLink electronic portal as a supplier to enable downloading of the tender documents: https://www.tenderlink.com/siwa/ ;
  2. Upload the tender through the TenderLink electronic portal before the deadline. The submission box will close on the said deadline.
